Year 10 of #imjustdrew and first post here of 2026.
We in the South of course have been snowed and iced in for a week with a brief intermission.
Please tell me why so many people wait until the last minute to buy groceries and supplies you should already be buying? Certain snow and ice gear I get but shouldn’t you already have enough provisions? I live alone and I have all I need. I do have to adjust my grocery shopping schedule to ensure I continue to have what I need though around this season. I see the same around Thanksgiving and Christmas also. Again, why?
This storm has forced many into what I’ve been forced into many times in my life: to pause, reflect and relax. I definitely encourage playing with the children, sleeping, even helping others that can’t get out, etc. Trust me, utilize this shut in time to the max. Read, reflect, plan. Heavy on the plan. Ensure you are better for the next storm/disaster/holiday.
Many of wait all year or years for this. Now it’s here and I hope you all take full advantage.
